Kos Island - party island and a paradise for surfers

Kos or Cos (English pronunciation: /kɒs/ or /kɔːs/) is a small island known for it`s rich night life, it`s tropical beauty, rich vegetation, endless beaches and rich history. Kos belongs to the Dodecanese island’s group, and it  is the third largest island of this group. It is located only 7 km from the Turkish coast. With it`s 45 km length, it managed to gain the title of one of the most attractive tourist center in Greece. With it`s mild climate attracts tourists throughout the year. While this small island has many scenes of untouched nature, in contrast to what it was exactly famous for it`s nightlife and partying on the beach.

Isle of Youth. Kos is the capital city and is located in the northeast of the island. It abounds in cultural and historical heritage: from prehistoric times through antiquity, to the magnificent castles, museums … Hippocrates, the father of medicine and founder of the first medical school, was born in this island. Island is known for it`s beautiful beaches and the most famous of them are Kefalos, Mastichari, Marmari, Tigaki… Also, on these beaches surfers can enjoy because the beaches among in the best beaches in the Mediterranean for this sport.
